Summer plans: testing Formula cars in Italy, Route 66 and all things Murci

theSLRgirl Paris Hilton's SLR SLR McLaren green Monster 720S

My birthday is at the end of July and all I want for my birthday is a proper photoshoot with the Murci. That’s all I want and that’s all I need. I realised I don’t have a single nice picture with that car and now I must have that. Like, what if we sell it?! I need a proof for my future kids (if any) that mommy was cool.

Imagine me in a black fitted tailored suit with black silk details, black high heels, glam done, sitting in that car and Enzo on my left. That shit is going to EAT! You’ll be dropping fire emojis for days.

The car is still in Poland, but it’s likely that it’ll be back for the birthday photoshoot. Fingers crossed. I’m super excited that it’ll be home soon, I miss it so much. I love the SLR, but I have a different type of relationship with the Murci. I’d do anything for this car, literally.

I’ve never driven a gated car before, so that’ll be a completely new experience. It takes some force to shift the gears compared to the traditional one, but it should be alright I think. The fact that the main issue with the car is getting fixed, the Murci will finally live its happily ever after.

I’m against manual conversions and against “manual or nothing” type of views, but the E-gear is just too faulty. The car was regularly at the shop and that took away from the enjoyment of the ownership. We were on the brink of parting ways with it and the conversion is the last chance to make it work. Not even gonna discuss the fact that no one can work on these in Bulgaria, so the relationship with the Murci hasn’t been exactly smooth. Some shops they see us coming in a Lambo and all they see is money. They don’t care about the car, they just see cash cows, but we’re not stupid. We currently trust 2 shops, that’s it. And these two shops told us they don’t want to experiment on the car, “just send it to someone who knows what they’re doing”. I have high hopes that the Murci will come back fixed and that the bad experiences are behind us. All I want is to have a blast on a B-road on a Friday afternoon in the best-sounding car ever.

In August, we’re heading to Italy to test Formula cars.

Last time I was in Italy, during theSLRtour, I just waned to leave as quickly as possible. I didn’t feel safe for one single minute. I was chased for no reason, the pasta was bellow average, the people were so rude and there was this feeling of misery in the air. Dreadful experience to be frank, but here’s to second chances.

We’ll have Mugello Circuit for ourselves. My boyfriend will be testing Formula cars, I’ll probably rent a Ferrari for myself. Sleep in Florence, go to the track, test Formula cars, back to Florence for dinner, sleep, repeat for a couple of days. Sounds fun, I have high expectations for this one.

In September, we’re heading to America.

theSLRtour Route 66 is postponed. All of my American friends advised me to do a trial run before I ship the SLR. Big chunks of the route are not maintained, common knowledge I believe, but doing it in an SLR for the first time will be a mistake, according to them. Everyone is super hyped about this tour, myself including. It’s like a life mission - to ship Paris and do Route 66 with her. I will. But I want to make it right at the same time. And my friends’ advice is to just rent a car, do the whole thing, mark on the map where I stay, drive through, stops … literally document everything, so that I know what it looks like and how bad or good it is (ground clearance, stuff like that). So, when I come with the SLR, I wouldn’t have to worry about a single thing. They convinced me that this is the right way to do it and I trust them. It’ll be my first time to drive from Chicago to Santa Monica, I have no other choice but to listen to people who know better. Also, due to its status of being “forgotten”, but it’s a tourist “spot” at the same time, there is a real treat of petty crimes. My friends suggested I observe and acknowledge all different ways an SLR tour could go south because of that.

I’m obviously renting a Mustang GT. And as someone who’s deeply fascinated with the Wild West, I’ll use this trip as a photography journey as well. I believe we gonna have a lot of fun.

So, that’s everything that’s been scheduled so far, I still need to figure out where to go with the SLR this year lol Paris is getting driven daily at the moment, I don’t post about it, because you don’t need to know what I do on the daily basis. It’s called privacy, but the car needs to be driven and I’m putting “boring” miles on it at the moment, but it needs to be done. I’m somewhat happy that this spec can go unnoticed for this very reason. “Oh, look, a weird looking old Merc! Hold on, wait a second” and by the time you take your phones out, I’m gone lmao.

See you around!
