SLR Update

Do you see an SLR in the photo? No. Because there's no SLR, still. All of the parts have arrived, but the alternator. The alternator turned out to be impossible to source. It's a cheap part, but the OEM alternator that we want to put in the SLR is nowhere to be found. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz declines to help. We've contacted MB all the way to Germany and most of the dealerships are like "Prove us you own an SLR. How come there's one in Bulgaria", or "But we don't actually service SLRs". And when I tell them I only want to buy the part, they don't have to even look at the car, they simply can't comprehend how can someone be in a position to service an SLR - meaning "You driving these?!". Not only MB doesn't want to help source the part, they also refuse to believe the SLR needs one, which is ironic, because MB declined to diagnose the car in the first place.
We used connections to get the official history of the car at Mercedes-Benz and there are some really sketchy things that allegedly were done to the car. I'm pretty familiar with what the car has been through and there are some fucked-up stuff in the history that don't match the reality. I don't know what the people who work at MB do all day, but they certainly don't want to work. If the S Coupe wasn't what it is, it would have been put for sale immediately. What a joke of a brand. I'm never, ever going to buy a Mercedes. Ever. Done. Now, we're using connections at the highest level within the car world in order to source the alternator. That's what it takes for a 1k part on a 400k car. It's absurd and it's because MB refuses to service a car they proudly associate themselves with and claim it as theirs. Bullshit. *For the know-it-all people, I just want confirm I'm aware that an aftermarket alternator replacement from Bosch and other brands exists. This is not what we're looking for. Only a genuine OEM Mercedes-Benz alternator works in this case. Under different circumstances - yes, maybe. There's a bigger picture you're not aware of and I'll disclose it once the SLR is back. I'll disclose what went down this time that caused the alternator failure in the first place. Unfortunately, I can't tell when the SLR will be back, but at least the turbine wheels are finally fixed and on the car. I'm hoping they're fixed for good and it'll need a good trial period before theSLRtour II to make sure they won't cause another tire deflation, or even worse - puncture. I was looking forward to start filming theSLRtour promo videos with the cars and in general to announce the whole thing properly on social media. The new cameras are here and I'm thrilled to start the promotion of the tour. I just need the SLR to be back, it's my muse. Other than that, Monster is amazing. 0 issues. Although, it'll go through a service before the tour to make sure there'll be no surprises.
