Selling another SLR? The SLR?

I’m a bad news first type of person, so, that’s what I’m going to start with. It’s about Paris. And it’s bad. It’s about selling it.

I had this noble idea of selling it back to Paris Hilton eventually. In that scenario, the SLR is having a full circle moment. It would make me so happy to see Paris and Paris reunited. And if she decides to replicate the original trio photo, that would break the internet.

As noble this idea is, the more possible it becomes, the more I’m afraid that the SLR might suffer its initial destiny. Probably without the DUI, hopefully without the DUI, but essentially more of the same. Paris is a true car enthusiast, she has a stunning collection. She loves her cars and she loves driving, I have no doubt that the SLR will feel right at home. When she was arrested for DUI, the SLR was taken from her and she cried. Paris Hilton cried for the SLR, while she can buy any other SLR the morning after, she cried for this exact SLR. She 100% loved it. So, I have no doubt that she’ll love the idea of the reunion. But how long would it last? 

I don’t want to see Paris sitting at a dealership once again, going through auctions and the possibility of ending up in YouTuber's hands makes me nauseous. Nothing against Ed, he was the best case scenario for Paris, but if Paris ends up in the wrong hands, it would be devastating. Just imagine Whistlindiesel buying it, yeah, exactly, we would have to imagine Paris after that.

A final decision was made : to never sell Paris. Not even to Paris. Paris has found her forever home. I’m sorry, if you followed me because of the possibility of buying it. I’m sorry, Ed, I know you would love to buy it back. Always welcomed to drive it whenever you want! I was always open and honest about the fact that any car can go for sale, but this is not the case for Paris anymore. She joins the Mustang and Monster in the forever cars club. And here’s a spoiler for you - another SLR might join the garage in the future. There’s already a plan in motion for that. The perfect example that we sold, chassis 1083, is thriving in Germany. It’s with a family, who loves SLRs - every man within that family has one and they do family trips with them. I’m beyond happy it found the right people, who love it, drive it and enjoy it. I’m always welcomed to visit whenever I feel like it and we might even organise a trip together with the SLRs! It’s not a matter of if but when another SLR will join us.

If Monster sets a direction, the SLR won’t be the preppy example you all expect from an SLR to be. I’m done with perfect examples. In the meantime, another car will be joining us shortly as it takes the Ultima’s spot. It’s not street-legal. That’s all I’m gonna share for now. I’m leaving for the USA next week, so see you in mid-September for some proper exotic trips around Europe!
