Monster update, Silverstone with McLaren and other events

You know how hyped I was about the Monster + Paris photoshoot … Well, about that. Good news is it’s still happening. Bad news is I have to wait at least another week to make it happen. Monster requires new parts and is not drivable until then. I’m gonna say it - it needs a new oil pump.

This can happen to any car without any symptoms. It can happen to cars that have questionable maintenance. I don’t know if that’s the case here, but I gotta work with what I got. New oil pump it is. The new one is already here, I’m just waiting for our mechanic to find a slot for Monster. It’s a day job, he said. And while it’s there, it’ll go through an intensive inspection and an annual service. I’m guilty, I haven’t done the service yet, because I wanted to drive the car for a few weeks and see how it runs and have a solid feedback ahead of the service. It’s a McLaren, it doesn’t require babying all the time. 

So, Monster is currently on charger waiting for its slot. And we gotta push it to the platform, because the engine should’t be started. Fun times. But hey, no complaints, I'll be pushing a McLaren!

Another thing I discovered is that I can’t retrofit the camera. I mean I can, but it’s not worth the hassle. Not only I can’t retrofit it, but I also don’t want it. I don’t need it. We, the supercar drivers, are the top echelon of skills and the creme de la creme of all drivers. If I need a camera to drive and park my car, I might as well cut my driver’s license in half. 

This being said, I appreciate you all taking photos and running around the car to get a good angle, but please, I’m trying to park a pretty wide, almost 1000 HP supercar. Pardon me, if I look at you in a dismissive manner. I’m just trying to park. It’s not you, it’s me. And I always back up to spots, so yeah, it may take a couple of times of me getting out and checking the surrounding. Nothing unusual and nothing to see here lol.

I’m heading to London in April! My annual trip to London will include a stop at Silverstone. Not really a stop, because it includes driving a McLaren on one of the most legendary tracks!

Hyped!

One of the biggest BG motorsport events will happen during the first weekend of April on Serres racing circuit. I’ll come to support my fellow MCL owners with Monster. You’ll be able to see Monster in person there. 

I’ll be doing my first giveaway this spring, too, which I’ll announce after I introduce Monster to my IG audience. Unfortunately, you’ll need an IG account to participate and you must be from Bulgaria.
