Monster on Prime Time TV before GTA VI

Updated: Oct 2

This car just looks soooooo good!

theSLRgirl green Monster 720S Car Speed Show Premium Rally car event

Monster is no stranger to car events, but it was our first as a tandem. There're so many topics I want to talk about but first things first: a massive thank you to Mirafiori, who absolutely transformed this car. The last time this car has looked this good was probably during its last day in the factory. I was so nervous about this paint job, because there was a lot of damage to the front from the previous owner. So many rock chips all the way to the top of the hood and paint chips that they downgraded the look. Monster is a brand new car now and everyone who has seen it in its previous state told me that Monster looks like it just came out from the factory. So, thank you, Mirafiori! I'm beyond happy with the new look!

A massive thank you to Premium Rally, who invited us to participate in this event. As usual, they know what they're doing and they were the best hosts we could wish for for our first event as a duo. Much love!

I'm just going to start with the obvious - we need more events like this one. Overall, it was a beautiful, well organised event. When I signed up, I didn't know there'll be an entrance fee, I just want to let that out. While I'm absolutely for huge entrance fees for track events, I'm not so sure about this one. It wasn't expensive-expensive, but it definitely prevented some of you from coming. Was it worth it?! - I'm leaning towards yes. I've been to a lot of car events in the UK, where the fees are higher, but you see a lot of cool cars for the money. In this one, there were 3 cars that stood out to me (objectively), one of which was in fact Monster. So, maybe next time the event should include more cars that are currently owned and driven, rather than turning it into a massive dealerships showroom. There was a beauty in that as well, because it demonstrated the interest in higher-end cars in Bulgaria. Don't get me started on the overpriced food corner, tho. We need to work on that, sorry. I want people to enjoy themselves around the cars and not having to count how much cash they have left and whether they can afford lunch. That's not the right energy IMO. I'm saying it out loud - next time I'm invited to an event with an entrance fee, you need to prove to me you provide enough entertainment and fun for the bucks. I'm not participating otherwise. We can do better, collectively.

While Monster wasn't the most expensive car there, it was objectively the coolest. I mean that as a car enthusiast, because you get to learn firsthand what's like to live with an exotic from the owner aka me. Not only you don't see such a chill supercar with Monster Energy stickers all over it every day, you also rarely have the opportunity to talk to the owner. People usually imagine the owner of supercars to be a Bulgarian mutra (google that, if you're not from Bulgaria and in most cases, they're not wrong). And then they see me - a 50kg, 170cm, young female, who's dressed to match the vibe of the car, smiling and welcoming them to explore the car further. They were staggered. "You drive THIS??? HOW?!". I absolutely demolished the perception they had about the owner of such cars. I left a lot of you speechless and our conversation ended right there. But a huge chunk of you stayed for more. Some of you for HOURS! And that was the reason why I came! Seeing how I ignited a spark in your eyes was priceless and a job done. You never pictured me to be so chill, grounded and easy-going and it showed. We talked all things cars and life. All of you asked me the same question: How? I'll answer it on here as well - As long as it comes from your heart, you're passionate about it and you put in the work consistently, you're already ahead of 99.9% of the population. Nothing can stop you. Find your purpose, be loyal to your values, follow your dreams, ignore the fear. Get rid of bad habits - I've never smoked in my life, I've never done drugs and I don't drink alcohol (anymore). Stop trying to please, be your authentic self no matter what, who or when. You're a reflection of your environment. Friends and family can drown you, if you allow it. My glass is always half-full - I'm grateful for everything in my life. I also don't take myself seriously - we're all going to die, I might as well have fun. - That's the recipe. This is the mindset that got me here. I'm not an online guru that sells "get rich fast" courses, so I can't tell you how to get rich, but I can tell that this is the way of thinking you need to get there. If you focus on the money only, you've lost the plot. Money's just the means and fiat is pretty much made-up. Being a slave to the idea of becoming rich will never get you there. Aim towards greater things and money will come. Money never made me, but not having water for months in my student accommodation in a foreign country while also working 2 jobs did 😂

While there were other McLarens for sale from dealerships at the event, here's a little secret, from a McLaren owner. Never buy a McLaren from a dealership that sells also other car brands - premium or not. If you still want to buy from a dealership (I still wouldn't), buy only from official McLaren resellers that sell mainly McLarens. If you buy from a dealership, you'd wonder why I'm a happy McLaren owner and you're not. It's because (while this is valid for all cars, it's incredibly important for McLarens) they need to be driven. When a McLaren sits for a little longer, you're in for a trouble. And they sit at the dealerships. Some sit longer than others and dealerships will never maintain it the same way an owner would. From a 6yo McLaren 720S, I would expect it to have at least 35.000-40.000 km on the odometer. It doesn't make sense to own this car and not drive it. It would definitely alarm me. Anything less than 20k km I wouldn't even look at. Buy McLarens straight from owners only! With a solid milage that proves that car was driven consistently without having to sit for longer periods!!! You're welcome!

The three of you, who got the t-shirts, will be the first to be invited to private McLaren and SLR meet-ups!

One of you surprised me by coming on Sunday wearing the Monster t-shirt 😭 OMG, you have no idea how happy that made me!! Love you, guys!!!! 💚 💚 💚 Welcome to theSLRgirl family!

Now that we've established I'm not an online "get rich fast" guru, I want to talk about something else. SFMotors, why? Can we stop with this? Like, legit, why? This is vulgar and not in a fun and interesting way like for example Lady Gaga in her early years. What's the purpose of this attire? She is a beautiful lady that had higher chances of selling cars wearing dress pants and a blouse. I felt bad for her, seriously, this is so outdated and plain vulgar. It's not 2004. Thanks!

With the risk of being cancelled, this thing got nothing on the SLR. My 3rd time seeing a CGT. Always leaves me underwhelmed and bored. Sorry, not sorry. But yeah, this was the most "expensive" car at the event. Not sure what's the state of it tho. Considering how challenging it is to maintain exotics from the 00's in Bulgaria, I believe a CGT presents greater challenges. I would never, personally. Even if we take the money out of the equation, the answer would be still no. It won't be a personality match the same way I match with the SLR, the 720S and the Mustang GT. I can picture myself with a car that combines all 3: The Saleen S7. That's a car I would rather own over a CGT.
