It is time to debunk your Bullshit

I'm done with all the bullshit regarding the SLR.

Get ready for the truth.

There's so much fud surrounding the SLR, but it's time for someone to expose what's really like to own one. I'll address each and every rumour. Expect a post every two weeks, starting on 01.12.25.

Some of the rumours that I'll discuss include:

• "It can split in half when lifted" / "There is a special lift for the SLR. Don't lift it on a normal one, or else."

• "Spark plugs cost $18k and require engine out. Must be done every 4 years, or else."

• "The brakes cost $80k-120k."

• "The brakes need warming up."

• "Manny said the hood costs 70k-80k."

• "Insane running costs."

And many more.

Just to be clear, the SLR is still an exotic car and that comes with some expectations of a more expensive ownership compared to a Kia. Some parts cost a lot of money, thousands, yes. But the SLR is really not an exception when it comes to that. It's the rule in the exotic world. No SLR owner is (and should't be) impressed by some parts costing a lot of money. If you are, you can't afford the car.
